Sometimes it is a landlord, sometimes an insurance form, sometimes a customer. If the honest answer is no, or the answer is yes but nobody can find the cards, this is a fixable problem and it does not take long.

Which Class Your Staff Needs
For most non medical workplaces, the AHA Heartsaver line is the right fit. It is built for people who are not healthcare providers but who might be the first person to reach someone in trouble.
- Heartsaver CPR AED, $95, 2 to 3 hours. Adult, child, and infant CPR plus how to use an AED. This is the usual answer for gyms, studios, and front of house restaurant staff.
- Heartsaver First Aid, $95, 1 to 2 hours. Bleeding, burns, breaks, and the other things that actually happen in a kitchen or a salon.
- BLS Provider, $85, 90 minutes. The healthcare provider level course. If you have a nurse, a medical aesthetician, or a trainer whose credential requires BLS specifically, this is the one.

If a form in front of you names a course and you cannot tell which one it matches, text a photo of it. That takes about a minute to sort out and saves you from booking the wrong class for six people.
Send People Out, or Bring the Instructor In
With one or two employees, sending them to a scheduled class in Lakemoor is simple. Classes run seven days a week, roughly 9:00am to 6:30pm, and there is no waiting list, so you are not holding a spot open for two weeks.
Once you are past a handful of people, onsite group training usually makes more sense. The instructor comes to your location with the manikins and AED trainers, and your team trains in the room where they actually work. Nobody loses a half day to driving. Write the expiration date somewhere you will see it in two years. That is the part most businesses miss, and it is why people end up needing a class in a hurry.
If You Need It Fast
Sometimes a certificate of insurance is due Friday and you found out Thursday. Emergency scheduling is $150 and is often available the same day or the next day. It is not the cheapest way to do this, but it beats missing a deadline or pulling someone off a schedule they are already committed to.
